OUR MEDICAL ASSISTANT Classes
Medical assistants are vital in the day-to-day operations of medical practices. Physicians have become more dependent on Medical Assistants for front and back office skills. MAs often work in ambulatory care centers, clinics, hospitals, urgent care centers, nursing homes, medical supply companies, home health agencies, blood donation centers, and pharmaceutical companies, and for insurance providers. As Vantage graduates know, medical assisting is more than a job, it is a career that can make a difference in someone's life.
Our Medical Assisting Program includes the study of structure and function of the body systems with the corresponding medical terminology, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, computer skills, administrative processes, bookkeeping and accounting practices, as well as the processing of health insurance claims and other pertinent forms. Students will also learn concepts including medical terminology, phlebotomy, clinical procedures, and medical office procedures.
We prepare our students to take five national certification exams, three of which are included with tuition and earned throughout the course of the program. Once a student completes MA training, our full time Career Services staff offers job placement assistance. Our staff also offers students guidance, support and employment assistance even after completion of the program. Vantage graduates will complete school knowing that they have the skills to obtain a job, perform well, and advance in the career that they have chosen to become a valued member of the workforce.
Vantage College also provides services such as flexible tutoring schedules, class-related field trips, guest speakers, and interview preparation. We also require externships to ensure our students receive hands-on, real world experience to assist them in finding gainful employment.
